Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Litigation Associate Attorney in Brooklyn, New York, to join their expanding commercial litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of litigation experience and a strong commitment to delivering strategic advocacy and client service.

Duties

  • Represent clients in various commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
  • Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, memoranda, and other legal documents.
  • Provide legal advice on commercial and business transactions.
  • Negotiate and resolve disputes effectively on behalf of clients.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, court procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients through timely updates and strategic guidance.
  • Collaborate with partners and team members, exercising sound judgment and initiative.
  • Contribute to a supportive and collaborative team culture.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience, preferably in commercial litigation.
  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral advocacy and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admission to the New York State Bar in good standing.
