Duties

  • Defend clients in employment-related claims.
  • Investigate claims and develop case strategies.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Draft legal documents including letters, memos, and pleadings.
  • Prepare discovery requests and take/defend depositions.
  • Represent clients at court conferences, hearings, and mediations.
  • Communicate regularly with partners, clients, and opposing counsel.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.
  • Current California bar admission, in good standing.
  • 2+ years of experience, with an employment law background preferred.
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
  • Understanding of state and federal procedures.
  • Comfortable with court appearances and depositions.

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • California bar admission, in good standing.
