Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Immigration Attorney in Las Vegas, NV. This role offers a promising opportunity for a dedicated attorney to gain valuable experience and advance their career within an established firm in the Greater Las Vegas Area. The successful candidate will manage their caseload, interact with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties

  • Explain immigration concepts and present strategic solutions.
  • Represent individuals in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a workload of diverse cases.
  • Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers.
  • Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes.
  • Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients.
  • Develop strategies and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements

  • 1 to 4 years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Preferably bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and move legal cases forward.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law.

Skills

  • Strong legal analysis and strategic planning abilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
