Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for its Dallas, TX office. The firm specializes in complex civil litigation, including toxic tort, product liability, and commercial litigation. The successful candidate will join a collaborative team dedicated to achieving optimal results for clients.

Duties

  • Independently manage a litigation caseload
  • Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial
  • Review and analyze discovery requests
  • Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings
  • Prepare court filings and service to counsel; experience with e-filing
  • Provide trial preparation and support
  • Maintain accurate time records

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years' litigation experience
  • Asbestos and/or product liability litigation experience preferred
  • Admitted to practice in Texas
  • Experience with motion practice and depositions
  • Experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions
  • Capable of independent work
  • Work in an organized and efficient manner

Education

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice in Texas

Skills

  • Superior research and writing skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to analyze complex matters
