Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Northfield, Ohio, to join their team with a focus on Homeowners and Condo Owners Association (HOA/COA) legal matters. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with HOA boards and management companies, advising on governance, disputes, collections, and litigation.

Duties

  • Represent HOA and COA clients across various legal matters
  • Draft and update governing documents such as bylaws and policies
  • Manage collections and enforcement actions
  • Represent clients in hearings, trials, and board meetings
  • Lead client communications, budgeting, and strategy planning
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary experts and other attorneys
  • Engage in community outreach, business development, and networking

Requirements

  • Licensed Ohio Attorney (JD required)
  • 3-5 years of attorney legal experience
  • Client-focused, highly organized, and business-minded
  • Emotionally intelligent, collaborative, and coachable
  • Strong communication and legal drafting skills
  • Tech-savvy and confident with remote tools and systems
  • Willingness to travel locally for meetings and hearings

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio
