Job Overview

A law firm seeks a skilled Personal Injury Attorney in Edison, NJ, to join their team and assist clients in obtaining justice and compensation for their injuries. The ideal candidate will manage case files from inception to settlement and possess a minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation and trial experience.

Duties

• Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to clients.
• Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, and insurance adjusters to gather information.
• Draft and review legal documents, including motions and pleadings.
• Gather evidence and conduct legal research on case law and premises liability.
• Maintain updated documentation of all case files in the management system.
• Represent clients at mediations, trials, hearings, and depositions.
• Negotiate settlements and manage a team of legal professionals.
• Administer depositions and oral hearings of cases and witnesses.
• Review discovery documents and determine the best course of action.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury litigation or trial.
• State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership.
• Proficiency in negotiating settlements and resolving claims.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite and case management systems.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex cases efficiently.
• Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.

Education

• Bachelor's degree and J.D. degree required.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New Jersey.
