Job Overview:

This role is ideal for a licensed attorney with courtroom experience and a strong commitment to client advocacy and justice. Location:

  • Rock Hill, South Carolina

Duties:

  • Represent clients facing criminal charges, including DUIs, drug offenses, violent crimes, and white-collar crimes

  • Conduct legal research, gather evidence, and develop strategic defense plans

  • Appear in court for arraignments, bail hearings, pre-trial motions, trials, and sentencing

  • Negotiate plea deals, case dismissals, and alternative sentencing arrangements with prosecutors

  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide legal advice and case updates

  • Work collaboratively with legal staff, including paralegals, investigators, and expert witnesses

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing criminal defense law

  • Strong courtroom presence and experience with motion practice and trial advocacy

  • Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and meet court deadlines

  • Excellent client service orientation and interpersonal skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of South Carolina

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research tools and case management software

  • Strong negotiation, writing, and verbal communication skills
