The ideal candidates will manage client relationships, draft estate planning and trust administration documents, and handle trust and probate administration matters. Location:

  • Binghamton, New York

Duties:

  • Represent clients in the estate planning process, providing legal advice and guidance.

  • Draft various estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.

  • Assist clients with trust funding and offer tailored advice.

  • Manage trust and probate administration matters, ensuring deadlines are met.

  • Interact with clients regularly, providing updates and ensuring client satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with department attorneys to develop strategies and provide support for complex cases.

  • Travel to branch offices based on client needs.

Requirements:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in estate planning, estate administration, elder law, and special needs planning (other levels of experience may be considered).

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

  • Excellent problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Admission to practice in New York or the ability to waive into the NYS Bar.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to waive in.

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research, writing, and communication abilities.

  • Strong client management skills with a focus on delivering high-quality service.

  • Proficient in managing complex cases and documentation.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
