Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm is seeking a Senior Associate or Counsel-level attorney with 5–8 years of corporate law experience to join its Los Angeles office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and securities, with private equity and finance experience considered a plus. This role requires exceptional drafting, analytical, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate effectively.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

  • Handle corporate transactions, including mergers & acquisitions and joint ventures

  • Advise clients on securities matters and regulatory compliance

  • Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements and transaction documents

  • Collaborate with clients and legal teams to structure and execute deals

  • Manage multiple projects and provide strategic legal counsel

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of corporate law experience in a law firm setting

  • Strong background in mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, and securities

  • Experience with private equity and finance is helpful but not required

  • High level of organization and attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

  • Superior academic credentials preferred

Certifications:

  • Admission to the California Bar highly preferred

Skills:

  • Strong legal drafting and writing abilities

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously

  • Effective negotiation and client management skills

  • Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed
