Job Overview

A law firm seeks a litigation associate to join its Real Estate Capital Markets practice in Charlotte, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial landlord-tenant disputes, commercial foreclosure litigation, and other real estate litigation matters.

Duties

  • Represent clients in commercial landlord-tenant disputes.
  • Engage in commercial foreclosure litigation.
  • Conduct motion practice and discovery, including e-discovery.
  • Draft motions and court pleadings with proper citation formatting.
  • Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • At least 4+ years of commercial litigation experience.
  • Experience in commercial landlord-tenant litigation.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Must be licensed or ready to become licensed in North Carolina.
  • Residency in the Charlotte area at or prior to the time of hire.

Education

  • Strong academic credentials required.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in North Carolina.

Skills

  • Self-motivated and organized.
  • Ability to draft motions and adhere to proper citation formatting.
