Associate Attorney - Litigation

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Manchester, NH to provide comprehensive legal services in partnership with established shareholders. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in state and federal litigation or administrative law, including discovery, depositions, mediation, motion practice, and trial. Strong research and writing skills, along with the ability to work independently on multiple projects, are essential. A prior federal or state court clerkship is preferred but not required.

Duties

• Research complex legal matters and provide sound advice.
• Draft and document high-quality written materials for clients.
• Represent clients in court and administrative procedures.
• Collaborate with attorneys and staff in-office and virtually.
• Assign tasks to paralegals and legal assistants as needed.
• Present educational materials on legal developments.
• Facilitate learning for associates, staff, and students.
• Accurately account for time spent on client and firm matters.
• Operate autonomously while seeking support when necessary.
• Treat others with courtesy and respect at all times.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New Hampshire Bar and good standing in required jurisdictions.
• Ability to critically think, write, research, and communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team.
