Job Overview

A law firm seeks a debt finance associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Corporate Practice Group in Portland, OR. The associate will work on structuring, negotiating, and documenting secured and unsecured debt finance transactions, sponsor-backed M&A, and intercreditor and collateral issues. They will collaborate with colleagues across offices and directly with clients.

Duties

  • Structure, negotiate, and document debt finance transactions.
  • Manage project workstreams and produce client-ready documents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and clients on complex transactions.

Requirements

  • Experience in secured and unsecured debt finance transactions.
  • Familiarity with industries such as agribusiness, tech, and consumer products.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work within a team.
  • Commitment to client service and business development.

Education

  • JD from an accredited university.

Certifications

  • Active membership in or commitment to applying to the Oregon or Washington State Bar.

Skills
