Job Overview

A growing personal injury law practice in Boston, MA is seeking a Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its dynamic and client-focused team. The position offers the opportunity to manage cases from pre-litigation through trial, work closely with clients, and represent them at hearings, mediations, and trials. A hybrid work schedule is offered with the flexibility to work remotely, except for client meetings and court appearances. The ideal candidate will have a passion for personal injury law and a strong ability to manage cases independently.

Location

  • Boston, MA

Duties

  • Manage personal injury cases from beginning to end (pre-litigation through trial)

  • Attend court hearings, conduct and defend depositions and discovery

  • Communicate proactively with clients regarding their injuries, medical treatments, and case status

  • Coordinate with medical providers, defense firms, and insurance companies to stay updated on client progress

  • Evaluate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients

  • Represent clients at mediations, trials, hearings, and depositions

  • Supervise and delegate tasks to support staff

  • Negotiate settlements on clients' behalf when appropriate

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school

  • Massachusetts Bar Admission

  • 3+ years of personal injury trial experience (either defense or plaintiff side)

  • Ability to manage cases from inception to completion

  • Strong research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills

  • Client-facing experience with a high degree of emotional intelligence

  • Ability to proactively move cases forward and maintain clear communication with clients

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Massachusetts State Bar License (required)

Skills

  • Superior research and analytical skills

  • Strong negotiation and drafting abilities

  • Ability to manage client relationships with a high degree of emotional intelligence

  • Experience in litigation, mediation, and trial advocacy

  • Ability to delegate and supervise support staff effectively
