A law firm seeks a motivated Bankruptcy Associate Attorney licensed in Mississippi to join their team in Jackson, MS. The role involves representing secured creditors in consumer bankruptcy matters, including Chapters 7, 11, and 13, across various jurisdictions. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of the Bankruptcy Code and experience in both contested and uncontested cases.

Duties

  • Represent secured creditors in bankruptcy proceedings.
  • Handle both contested and uncontested bankruptcy matters.
  • Manage a high-volume caseload efficiently.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
  • Attend hearings throughout Mississippi as needed.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing in Mississippi.
  • 2-3 years of experience in consumer bankruptcy law preferred.
  • Familiarity with bankruptcy rules and electronic court filing systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Mississippi
