Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Associate in Hackensack, New Jersey, with a minimum of 2 years of general liability experience. Maritime case experience is preferred but not required. The candidate will join a dynamic team of over 200 attorneys nationwide.

Duties

• Independently manage a caseload involving general liability and maritime matters.
• Regularly handle court appearances and depositions.
• Draft pleadings, discovery demands, motions, and appeals.
• Communicate with clients and provide status reports.

Requirements

• Admission to practice in New Jersey and New York.
• General liability defense experience with a desire to learn maritime law.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple matters simultaneously.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in New Jersey and New York.
