Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its Seattle, WA office. The attorney will represent insurance companies in coverage disputes and provide advice on various coverage matters. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a growing practice in the Pacific Northwest.

Duties

  • Represent insurance companies in coverage disputes.
  • Advise on a variety of insurance coverage matters.
  • Analyze coverage issues and draft coverage opinions.
  • Prepare pleadings and dispositive motions.
  • Conduct discovery in insurance coverage litigation.
  • Take and defend depositions.
  • Attend court conferences and argue motions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of insurance coverage and litigation experience.
  • Must be licensed to practice in Washington.
  • Superior research, writing, and communication skills.
  • Experience analyzing insurance policies and contracts.
  • Ability to handle all phases of the litigation process.
  • Experience in drafting settlement agreements and handling appeals.
  • Arbitration and/or trial experience is beneficial.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington.

Skills

  • Strong litigation background.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in drafting legal documents.
