Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A Houston-based law firm is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to support its growing litigation team. This role offers an immersive experience across all stages of litigation, with opportunities for court appearances, client engagement, and legal strategy development. The position includes comprehensive mentorship, ongoing professional development, and active involvement in client relationship-building, offering a strong foundation for future leadership within the firm.

Duties:

  • Prepare and revise legal filings, including pleadings, motions, and judgments

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and provide insightful analysis on complex matters such as title chains and property taxation

  • Represent clients in court, primarily within Harris County and neighboring jurisdictions

  • Work closely with internal staff to coordinate collection and litigation-related actions

  • Engage with clients, opposing parties, and public entities professionally and persuasively

  • Attend and participate in professional development and networking events

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (or awaiting results from the most recent Texas bar exam)

  • Willing and able to travel locally up to 25%

  • Capable of managing deadlines and multitasking effectively

  • Eager to contribute to firm growth through networking and outreach

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active or pending membership with the State Bar of Texas

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Excellent organizational habits and time management

  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • High attention to detail and accuracy in legal drafting

  • Comfort with courtroom procedures and advocacy

  • Ability to manage a large, diverse caseload efficiently
