Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Capital Markets and Corporate Compliance Associate to join its practice group in Toronto. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in capital markets transactions, including public and private debt securities offerings, and a strong understanding of the Trust Indenture Act.

Duties

  • Manage a variety of capital markets transactions.
  • Advise clients on public and private debt securities offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with the Trust Indenture Act.
  • Collaborate with a team of legal professionals.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of experience in capital markets and corporate law.
  • Experience in the business/corporate group of a large law firm.
  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Top academic credentials.
  • At least one U.S. bar admission (New York preferred).

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
