Job Overview:
A dynamic and growing law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to join its hybrid team based in Trenton, New Jersey. This role is ideal for a motivated attorney interested in family law, criminal defense, personal injury, and general practice areas such as municipal matters and DUI defense. While the position is primarily remote, courtroom and in-office appearances are required based on the firm’s court calendar. Comprehensive training will be provided to support professional development.

Location:

Duties:

  • Represent clients in family law, criminal defense, and general practice cases including municipal court, DUI, and personal injury matters

  • Draft legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and correspondence

  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda using platforms such as LexisNexis or Westlaw

  • Attend court hearings, trials, and client meetings as needed

  • Provide legal counsel to clients and maintain clear communication throughout case proceedings

  • Collaborate with colleagues on case strategy and firm operations

  • Maintain case files and meet procedural deadlines

Requirements:

  • Strong interest in family law, criminal defense, and general practice areas

  • Ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Willingness to appear in court and attend in-office meetings as required

  • Legal administrative experience is a plus

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in New Jersey (required)
