Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join its Strategic Transactions & Licensing group in San Diego, CA. This role involves advising life science companies on legal and business issues, as well as working with venture-backed technology start-ups and venture capital investors on due diligence for licensing and transactional intellectual property matters.

Duties

• Advise life science companies on strategic transactions and licensing agreements.
• Draft and negotiate agreements for life science and technology companies.
• Maintain and develop client relationships.
• Handle multiple client matters concurrently.
• Engage in meaningful client contact from the outset.

Requirements

• JD from 2021 - 2023.
• Admitted to the State Bar of California.
• Superior academic credentials from a top law school.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Previous large law firm experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the State Bar of California.

Skills

• Experience in life science transactions preferred.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
