Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in El Paso, TX. The role involves advocating for clients in personal injury cases, ensuring justice is served through diligent legal representation. The attorney will collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals to address client concerns, review demands, negotiate with adjusters and attorneys, and manage hearings and motions.

Duties

  • Draft and respond to motions with strong legal analysis.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, pleadings, and responses.
  • Represent clients in hearings and court proceedings.
  • Assist in negotiations with adjusters and opposing counsel.
  • Participate in depositions and trial preparations.

Requirements

  • Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Experience drafting and responding to motions with excellent writing skills.
  • Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
  • Hardworking and ambitious with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to draft legal documents and conduct research effectively.

Preferred qualifications

  • New Mexico licensing is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills and ties to the Borderplex Region are desirable.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
