Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated Associate Attorney to join its litigation team in Plano, Texas. Duties

  • Handle contested eviction matters, including appeals in state courts.
  • Manage defensive litigation through trial for alleged statutory violations.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and clients to ensure legal compliance.

Requirements

  • Experience handling mortgage default matters.
  • Licensed to practice law in Texas state courts.
  • Admission to federal courts in Texas preferred.
  • Courtroom experience required; trial experience preferred.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a caseload with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to seek guidance when necessary.
  • Experience with CaseAware case management system.
  • Experience with client portals such as BKFS/LPS and Tempo.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas.
