Job Overview

A prominent national law firm is seeking a qualified Immigration Associate with at least two years of business immigration experience to join its Labor & Employment practice group. This opportunity offers broad exposure to employment-based immigration matters, a collaborative environment, and flexibility across multiple office locations. The role is ideal for a detail-oriented attorney who is passionate about delivering exceptional client service and building a long-term legal career in business immigration.

Location

  • San Diego, CA

Duties

  • Handle a range of employment-based immigration matters

  • Prepare and file PERM labor certification applications

  • Prepare and manage H-1B and L-1 petitions and supporting documents

  • Work closely with clients to develop case strategies and manage compliance

  • Conduct legal research and prepare high-quality legal writing (memos, petitions, letters)

  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff across offices on complex cases

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business immigration law

  • Experience preparing PERM, H-1B, and L-1 filings required

  • Demonstrated commitment to client service and timely communication

  • Ability to manage high-volume casework and meet strict deadlines

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • Strong academic performance required

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

  • Good standing with the applicable state bar

Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. business immigration procedures and best practices

  • Excellent legal writing and research abilities

  • Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong time management and case management proficiency
