Job Overview:
A locally respected law firm based in Oklahoma City is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with experience in estate planning, guardianship, adoption, and probate matters. The ideal candidate will be client-focused, team-oriented, and capable of handling sensitive legal issues with empathy and professionalism. This is an in-person role that offers a comprehensive benefits package, bonus incentives, and opportunities for professional growth.

Location:

  • Oklahoma City, OK

Duties:

  • Provide legal counsel to clients in estate planning, guardianship, and probate matters

  • Represent clients at hearings and related court proceedings

  • Conduct in-depth legal research and apply findings effectively

  • Draft and revise legal documents, including wills, trusts, pleadings, and court filings

  • Maintain accurate client records and documentation using firm software (Clio experience is a plus)

  • Uphold firm formatting and procedural standards

  • Communicate with clients and colleagues in a clear, professional manner

  • Collaborate closely with support staff and attorneys to ensure case progression

  • Meet billable hour quotas and firm-established performance metrics

  • Track billable time in accordance with firm policy

  • Travel as required to court and client meetings (mileage reimbursed per IRS standard)

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of legal experience in estate planning, probate, and guardianship

  • Must be willing and able to work in-person full-time in Oklahoma City

  • Personal vehicle available for work-related travel

  • Availability to work outside regular hours to meet case deadlines, if necessary

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the State of Oklahoma

Skills:

  • Strong research and analytical capabilities

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal drafting

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Effective time management and independent work skills

  • High attention to detail and professional judgment

  • Experience with Clio legal software is a plus

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute positively to a team environment
