Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in San Francisco to join its labor and employment practice. The candidate will work on impactful cases, contributing to client success with a focus on employment law and higher education-related legal issues.

Duties

  • Represent clients in labor and employment litigation, including discrimination and wrongful termination cases.
  • Handle Class Action/PAGA litigation.
  • Advise higher education institutions on Title IX compliance and student conduct matters.
  • Draft and review contracts, policies, and handbooks.
  • Provide counsel on workplace investigations and employee relations issues.
  • Participate in mediations, depositions, and hearings.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda and briefs.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • 2-4 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably with exposure to higher education law.
  • Strong litigation and legal writing skills.
  • Experience drafting legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and manage individual cases.
  • Interest in evolving labor laws and higher education regulations.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Education

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Bar admission in the state of California.
