Duties:

  • Handle a variety of Energy Acquisition and Divestiture (A&D) transactions, focusing on upstream and midstream sectors.
  • Manage the transactional process, including drafting and negotiating agreements, managing due diligence, and coordinating closings.
  • Provide legal counsel to clients on complex M&A matters.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on structuring and strategy for deals.
  • Assist in business development and relationship management with clients.

Requirements:

  • 3-6 years of experience in Energy Acquisitions and Divestitures.
  • Experience in upstream and midstream A&D transactions preferred.
  • Strong transactional background with exposure to energy markets.
  • Familiarity with structuring complex deals and negotiations.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Education:

  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Strong academic credentials.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Texas (or eligibility to obtain license).

Skills:

  • Exceptional legal research and drafting skills.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle complex legal issues related to energy transactions.
