Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected California-based law firm is actively seeking a skilled Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney to join its growing legal team. This full-time role is available on a remote or in-office basis across multiple locations in California. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation skills, a proactive client-first approach, and the ability to manage a full caseload independently while collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Location:

• Los Angeles, CA

Duties:

• Represent clients in workers’ compensation hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings

• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft pleadings, reports, and legal correspondence

• Negotiate settlements and manage claims resolution strategies

• Maintain and manage caseload efficiently and in compliance with firm protocols

• Provide updates and recommendations to clients regarding case progress and legal outcomes

• Collaborate with attorneys, legal assistants, and clients throughout the litigation process

• Ensure compliance with court deadlines and reporting requirements

Requirements:

• Prior experience in workers’ compensation defense law

• Ability to work independently while being part of a collaborative team

• Proven time management and organizational skills

• Tech-savvy and comfortable in a paperless, digital legal environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) or LLM from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar

Skills:

• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
