Job Overview:
A well-established law firm in San Antonio, TX is seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Attorney with at least 6 years of experience. This is a full-time opportunity for a candidate with strong litigation and advisory skills in employment law. The role offers the chance to engage in high-level client counseling, policy drafting, litigation, and trial work. Attorneys with a portable book of business or a proven record of client development are strongly encouraged to apply. Location:

  • San Antonio, Texas

Duties:

  • Advise clients on employment policies, compliance, and risk mitigation strategies

  • Draft and review employee handbooks, workplace policies, and employment agreements

  • Manage labor and employment litigation, including preparation of pleadings, motions, and briefs

  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, depositions, and administrative hearings

  • Participate in trial preparation and courtroom advocacy

  • Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to deliver integrated legal solutions

  • Maintain and grow client relationships through exceptional service and legal insight

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in labor and employment law

  • Proven litigation experience including trial and motion practice

  • Background in advising clients on labor/employment matters including compliance and policy development

  • Strong track record of managing complex cases from intake to resolution

  • Candidates with portable business or demonstrated client development success preferred

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

  • Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Texas

Skills:

  • Advanced legal research and writing skills

  • Strong courtroom presence and oral advocacy ability

  • Highly organized with excellent time management and multitasking abilities
