Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Cybersecurity Senior Associate/Of Counsel to join their Data Protection and Cybersecurity Team in Irvine, CA. This role involves managing privacy and data protection compliance matters, advising on data security incidents, and ensuring compliance with cybersecurity obligations.

Duties

• Advise on privacy and security obligations and incident notification requirements.
• Defend regulatory investigations related to data privacy and security.
• Collaborate with regional and national clients on cybersecurity matters.
• Manage complex workloads and anticipate potential issues.
• Interact with technically-skilled individuals and distill key issues for non-technical team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in privacy and cybersecurity breach response or data breach litigation.
• Exceptional project management skills and strong communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Admission to the state bar where the associate resides.
• Located within reasonable proximity to Irvine, CA.

Education

• JD from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

• State bar admission.
