Job Overview

A law firm seeks an admitted Immigration Attorney in Orange County, CA. This role offers a promising opportunity for growth and career advancement within an established firm. The attorney will manage their caseload, engage with clients, and collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal assistants.

Duties

  • Develop strategy and prepare clients/witnesses for court/USCIS testimony.
  • Represent individuals in removal proceedings at the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals.
  • Manage a diverse workload of cases.
  • Conduct intake with detained individuals at centers.
  • Prepare immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions.
  • Review and adjust immigration applications/packets as needed.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and community organizations on immigration law changes.
  • Conduct strategic immigration consultations with potential clients.
  • Provide legal analysis to determine case benefits.
  • Prepare and submit legal briefs for various immigration cases.

Requirements

  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Immigration Law.
  • Team player open to collaboration and strategizing with associates.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload and advance legal cases.
  • Experience with Family-Based Petitions, Humanitarian, EOIR, Detained, Citizenship, and other USCIS applications.
  • Experience with Case Management Software is preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Admitted to practice law in the state of California.
