Job Overview:

Duties:

  • Advise clients on the interpretation and application of the U.S. Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations.
  • Provide strategic counsel on compliance matters, including internal audits and compliance programs.
  • Review and analyze BSA/AML policies, procedures, and practices to ensure adherence to evolving regulations.
  • Prepare legal opinions, memoranda, and reports on compliance-related issues.
  • Assist with regulatory investigations and enforcement actions, working closely with government agencies.
  • Engage with clients to conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Stay current with updates to federal and state regulations impacting BSA/AML compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop compliance strategies tailored to client needs.

Requirements:

  • 4 years of experience or senior with a minimum of 2 years of experience advising on U.S. Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering compliance.
  • Strong understanding of federal regulations and compliance frameworks relevant to financial institutions and corporate clients.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex regulatory language and translate it into actionable advice.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and writing skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.

Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. BSA/AML regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and client management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and compliance software.
