Job Overview: A law firm seeks a skilled and dedicated Licensed Associate Attorney to join its Fort Worth, TX office. This full-time role offers a variety of legal work, including handling litigation support, prosecuting misdemeanor cases, and assisting with transactional projects and legal matters involving local governmental entities. Duties:

  • Prosecute misdemeanor cases in municipal courts.
  • Handle public information requests and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Provide litigation support and assist in case preparation.
  • Conduct legal research and draft documents related to various legal issues.
  • Manage transactional projects related to local governmental entities.
  • Assist in preparing and reviewing documents in support of local governmental entity representation.
  • Participate in meetings, including evening sessions as required.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients on various legal matters.

Requirements:

  • Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in Texas.
  • Strong academic credentials and a proven work ethic.
  • Excellent writing, research, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage billable hours effectively in a private practice environment.
  • Comfortable attending evening meetings as part of the role.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Texas Bar and in good standing.

Skills:

  • Strong research and writing abilities.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience handling municipal court cases and governmental legal matters is a plus.
  • Ability to handle a variety of legal matters and manage multiple priorities.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of maintaining confidentiality.
