Foreclosure Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm, certified as a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), is actively seeking a Foreclosure Attorney with at least two years of experience to join its legal team. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement based out of Uniondale, NY. The role focuses on handling foreclosure matters from inception through resolution, including litigation, legal drafting, and negotiation. Location:

Duties:

• Represent clients in foreclosure proceedings, including trials, mediations, and arbitrations

• Conduct comprehensive legal research using tools such as Westlaw

• Draft and file pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents

• Negotiate settlements and advocate for client interests

• Collaborate with attorneys and legal staff to develop effective case strategies

• Maintain accurate case files and documentation in accordance with legal standards

• Monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to foreclosure and litigation practices

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in foreclosure or litigation

• Experience using Perfect Practice software is a plus

• Strong legal research and writing skills

• Ability to manage multiple complex cases simultaneously

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the applicable jurisdiction (New York required)

Skills:

• Proficiency in legal research, including Westlaw

• Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Clear and professional verbal and written communication

• Familiarity with legal practice management software is a plus
