Pre-Litigation Associate - Of Counsel (Remote)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Pre-Litigation Associate - Of Counsel (Remote) to join their team. This fully remote position is available nationwide in any state where the firm maintains an office, including Salt Lake City, UT. The role involves handling pre-litigation matters such as demand letters, requests for records, and agency/administrative charges.

Duties

• Independently respond to demand letters, requests for records, and agency/administrative charges.
• Assess claims and provide analysis to clients and carriers.
• Engage in direct client and carrier contact for response handling.
• Participate in settlement activities, including mediations.
• Collaborate with the Professional Development team to deliver work products to clients.
• Complete client and firm-related administrative tasks.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Admission to the CA state bar and compliance with ethical requirements.
• Good standing with the bar.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in California employment litigation for Associate role.
• At least 9 years of relevant experience for Of Counsel role, with first chair capacity.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize, balance demands, and meet deadlines.
• Exceptional communication and legal research skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Admission to the California State Bar.
