The role involves managing Workers' Compensation claims from inception to resolution, including hearings, depositions, client communication, and legal writing.

Duties

  • Represent clients at Workers' Compensation Board hearings and depositions

  • Draft legal documents including appeals, reports, and correspondence

  • Maintain effective and timely communication with clients

  • Manage multiple tasks while meeting strict legal deadlines

  • Collaborate with legal team to ensure high-quality client service

  • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining firm standards

Requirements

  • NYS Bar license in good standing (required)

  • Experience with New York State Workers' Compensation law (preferred)

  • Strong organizational and administrative skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities

  • Professional and composed in client-facing and courtroom settings

  • Self-starter with ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

  • Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to support colleagues

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
