Mid-Level Litigation Associate

Job Overview:
A leading national law firm is seeking mid-level and senior associates (Class of 2020-2018) for its Litigation Group, with a strong focus on Delaware’s Court of Chancery. This position offers the opportunity to engage in complex commercial, corporate, and securities litigation, including class and derivative actions, fiduciary duty disputes, and bankruptcy litigation. The ideal candidate will have litigation experience, particularly in Delaware Court of Chancery matters, and will join a collaborative team known for handling high-profile cases across federal and state courts.

Location:

• Wilmington, DE

Duties:

• Handle complex civil litigation cases at the trial and appellate levels
• Focus on Delaware Court of Chancery matters, including fiduciary duty disputes, class and derivative actions, and securities fraud claims
• Represent clients in high-stakes commercial and corporate litigation, including bankruptcy and insurance acquisition transactions
• Participate in corporate valuations and statutory appraisals
• Provide strategic advice on litigation from both regulatory and business perspectives
• Engage in direct client interaction and development of case strategies
• Contribute to the firm’s pro bono program, applying legal expertise to causes that align with personal interests

Requirements:

• 2-4 years of experience in commercial, corporate, and securities litigation
• Experience in Delaware Court of Chancery matters strongly preferred
• Proven ability to manage and independently handle complex litigation cases
• Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
• Experience in corporate governance, fiduciary duties, and securities fraud claims is a plus
• Strong client service orientation and ability to work collaboratively with a team
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
• Strong interest in continuing professional development and business development efforts

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Delaware State Bar admission required (or eligibility for reciprocity)

Skills:

• Expertise in civil litigation and familiarity with Delaware Court of Chancery procedures
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop strategic solutions
• Experience in handling class action and derivative litigation
• Strong client management and relationship-building skills
