The role involves working closely with clients from the initial consultation through settlement or trial. Location

Duties

  • Meet with new and existing clients to assess case details and legal strategies

  • Argue motions and cases in court hearings

  • Negotiate settlements during mediations and settlement conferences

  • Conduct legal research and perform factual analysis to develop case arguments

  • Assess potential case outcomes and advise clients accordingly

  • Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and client consultations

  • Advise and counsel clients on employment law matters

  • Collaborate with team members and contribute to a supportive work environment

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working as an attorney in a law firm

  • Member in good standing with The Florida Bar

  • Prior litigation experience in Florida state and federal courts, preferably involving employment law issues

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and meet all deadlines

  • Willingness to learn, work hard, and adapt to new challenges

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Florida

Skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency with Mac computers, MS Word, Excel, Adobe, Slack, and Zoom

  • High degree of organization and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
