Job Overview

A law firm seeks a qualified attorney to support its Texas practice in Irving, TX. The firm specializes in real estate and creditors' rights, offering a comprehensive range of legal services to financial institutions.

Duties

  • Handle a significant volume of cases in the field of creditor's rights.
  • Resolve issues in discovery practice, depositions, and conflict resolution.
  • Make court appearances and manage some travel requirements.
  • Develop relationships to be viewed as a trusted partner and advisor.
  • Assist in growing the firm's presence as a top-performing firm.

Requirements

  • Member in good standing of the Texas State Bar.
  • Licensed or able to obtain a license in Texas federal district and bankruptcy courts.
  • 8+ years of mortgage foreclosure and collections experience.
  • Familiarity with the Texas state legal system.
  • Appellate experience and knowledge of TILA, RESPA, FDCPA, and the Bankruptcy Code preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Bar License in the state of Texas (required).
  • Multiple licenses a plus.
