I'm not sure of the exact qualifications for being a patent attorney, but yes, you can petition the patent bar many times and do it for math.
You can also be a patent attorney without a science degree. If you can go to school and go back to school and take courses at a community college that students qualify to take the exam.
So I'm not sure exactly what those classes are, but I've seen people do that in the past.
