Job Overview:
A nationally recognized law firm is seeking a Real Estate Associate Attorney with at least 3 years of experience to join its Chicago office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing. This role offers an opportunity to work on sophisticated real estate matters in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.

Location:

  • Chicago, Illinois

Duties:

  • Handle complex commercial real estate transactions

  • Draft and negotiate documentation related to acquisitions, dispositions, financings, and leasing

  • Conduct due diligence reviews and title/survey analysis

  • Collaborate with clients, partners, and opposing counsel on deal structuring

  • Manage multiple transactions simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant real estate law experience

  • Demonstrated experience in handling commercial transactions from inception to closing

  • Strong work ethic and ability to operate independently and as part of a team

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Illinois Bar (must be in good standing or eligible for admission on motion)

Skills:

  • Proficiency in drafting and negotiating complex real estate agreements

  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and manage a high volume of matters with minimal supervision

  • Strong client service and interpersonal skills
