Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Firm Corporate Counsel in Charlotte, NC, with consideration for remote locations across the U.S. The role involves collaborating with the Office of the General Counsel to manage corporate legal affairs, draft and review documents, and advise on AI-related issues.

Duties

  • Assist the Corporate Deputy General Counsel with global legal affairs and risk management planning.
  • Draft and review corporate documents for U.S. and international offices.
  • Administer risk management policies and create training materials.
  • Stay updated on professional conduct rules and AI developments.
  • Develop and implement AI strategies for the Legal Department.
  • Manage significant transactions and maintain checklists.
  • Create and coordinate contract templates and playbooks.
  • Review various client and counsel agreements.
  • Handle compliance, regulatory matters, and corporate filings globally.
  • Manage corporate secretarial matters and governance documentation.
  • Respond to auditor, insurance, and client information requests.
  • Address client relationships, conflicts of interest, and intake.
  • Develop strategic goals and projects for risk management.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctorate and current admission to a U.S. bar in good standing.
  • Minimum two years of legal experience, preferably in M&A or corporate practice.
  • Experience with professional responsibility rules and codes.
  • Familiarity with AI tools in law firms preferred.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • Creative problem-solving aligned with strategic needs.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and ethics.
