Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other tools to support case development.
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and memoranda with precision and clarity.
  • Assist in managing case files and maintaining organized records within the law office.
  • Support attorneys in preparing for hearings, depositions, and client meetings by gathering relevant information and documentation.
  • Participate in negotiations related to estate planning, family law disputes, or other practice areas as needed.
  • Stay informed about current laws and regulations across multiple practice areas.
  • Collaborate with team members on legal strategies and administrative tasks to ensure efficient case progression.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information at all times.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar or eligibility for admission shortly after hiring.
  • Proven experience or familiarity with estate planning, environmental law, family law, and related fields is preferred.
  • Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms.
  • Excellent legal writing skills with attention to detail in legal drafting.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple cases efficiently while maintaining high-quality work standards.
  • Experience with legal administrative tasks such as document management and case organization is advantageous.
  • Effective negotiation skills and the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
