A reputable law firm located in Harrisburg, PA, is seeking a mid-level litigation associate to join its general liability defense team. This opportunity is ideal for a legal professional with a proven background in handling diverse liability matters in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The position involves autonomous case management, active participation in discovery and motion practice, and frequent court appearances.

Duties:

• Manage a caseload of general liability matters independently

• Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

• Conduct depositions and defend witnesses

• Respond to written discovery requests

• Develop and execute litigation strategies

• Represent clients in hearings, conferences, and trials

• Maintain detailed records and ensure compliance with procedural requirements

Requirements:

• Licensed to practice law in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil litigation defense

• Familiarity with general liability, premises liability, auto liability, and insurance defense

• Strong background in motion practice and deposition handling

• Demonstrated courtroom experience preferred

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active Bar membership in PA and NJ is required
