Job Overview: A law firm is seeking a skilled Real Estate/Transactional Attorney to join its mission-oriented transactional practice. The firm serves nonprofit, for-profit, and public clients across various sectors, including real estate development and finance, affordable housing, health and human services, civil litigation, employment, and education. This position offers the opportunity to handle a broad range of transactional legal work, including borrower and lender representation, landlord and tenant representation, acquisitions and dispositions, due diligence, joint ventures, and organizational restructuring.

Location:

  • Boston, MA

Duties:

  • Engage in a wide variety of transactional legal work, including representing borrowers and lenders, landlords and tenants.
  • Handle asset and equity acquisitions and dispositions.
  • Perform property, operational, and organizational due diligence.
  • Support joint ventures and other organizational restructuring.
  • Advise clients on complex real estate and transactional matters.
  • Collaborate within a collegial team environment.

Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of experience in real estate and transactional law, with a focus on nonprofit and community development preferred.
  • Proven ability to handle complex transactional matters.
  • Motivated self-starter with top academic credentials and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to think strategically and manage competing priorities.
  • Massachusetts bar membership or ability to waive in.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice law in the State of Massachusetts or ability to waive in.

Skills:

  • Strong experience in real estate and transactional law.
  • Expertise in nonprofit and community development law preferred.
  • Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Superior ability to think critically and strategically.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
