Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:

The successful candidate will handle a diverse range of litigation matters, working alongside experienced litigators on high-stakes cases in both federal and state courts. Duties:

  • Assist in managing complex commercial litigation matters from inception through resolution

  • Draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda with minimal supervision

  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies collaboratively

  • Participate in depositions, hearings, mediations, and trial preparations

  • Interact directly with clients and opposing counsel on case-related matters

  • Contribute to case evaluations, discovery planning, and fact development

  • Maintain high standards of professionalism and ethics in all work and interactions

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of litigation experience in a law firm or comparable legal setting

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple complex assignments simultaneously

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and organizational capabilities

  • Team-oriented with a proactive and collaborative approach to work

  • Licensed to practice law or eligible for admission in Illinois

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • One of the following academic qualifications:

    • Top 14 law schools with a minimum 3.2 GPA

    • Top 10% class rank from a top 50 law school

Certifications:

  • Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar

  • Illinois bar membership preferred or ability to waive into Illinois

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of commercial litigation practices and court procedures

  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively

  • Strong legal writing and drafting abilities

  • Initiative-driven and detail-focused
