Mid-Level Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate attorney in Boston, MA, to join its civil litigation team. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience and a strong desire to take on significant responsibilities and grow within the firm.

Duties

• Manage a diverse caseload from start to finish, including drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, hearings, and trials.
• Develop litigation strategies in collaboration with clients and colleagues.
• Maintain proactive communication with clients, providing status updates and strategic guidance.
• Conduct focused legal research and draft well-crafted memoranda.
• Work closely with partners on complex, high-value matters.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of civil litigation experience.
• Experience in Massachusetts state and federal courts.
• Proficiency in taking and defending depositions and leading discovery.
• Strong advocacy skills and ability to draft and argue dispositive motions.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the Massachusetts State Bar.
