Job Overview:
A law firm located in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking an experienced attorney to lead its General Liability unit. This leadership opportunity is ideal for a Partner-level legal professional with a strong foundation in liability matters and an existing portfolio of clients. The role emphasizes practice growth, client development, and strategic team leadership. This position is being offered through a legal recruiting firm on behalf of the hiring law firm.

Duties:

• Direct the General Liability legal team while collaborating with senior leadership

• Serve as a lead advisor for clients in complex liability litigation matters

• Develop and execute strategic plans to grow the General Liability practice group

• Mentor and supervise attorneys and support staff within the unit

• Expand client relationships with support from an internal marketing and development team

• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and litigation proceedings

• Drive innovation in legal service delivery to maintain high client satisfaction

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of recent experience handling General Liability matters

• Proven success in business development with a portable book of business

• Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities

• Strong interpersonal skills and a client-first approach

• Licensed to practice law in the state of Indiana

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active and good standing membership with the Indiana Bar
