Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Public Sector Law Associate in Lansing, MI. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in water resources and drain law, working with public sector clients on environmental compliance, land acquisition, and related legal matters.

Duties

• Advise clients on environmental compliance and regulations.
• Manage land acquisition and easement processes.
• Handle eminent domain and land use regulation cases.
• Draft and review contracts and construction agreements.
• Participate in litigation related to water resources.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in water resources/drain law.
• Familiarity with real estate, environmental, construction, and financing matters.
• Detail-oriented and organized with a strong work ethic.
• Licensed to practice law in Michigan or eligible for admission without examination.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan.
