A law firm in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Workers' Compensation Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in workers' compensation law, with a strong understanding of the relevant legal processes and procedures. Duties:

  • Represent clients in workers' compensation cases, including filing claims, negotiating settlements, and appearing in hearings.
  • Advise clients on their rights and obligations under workers' compensation law.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare detailed legal memoranda, briefs, and reports.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including petitions, motions, and settlement agreements.
  • Manage case files, track deadlines, and ensure timely and accurate completion of all legal tasks.
  • Communicate with clients, insurance companies, and opposing counsel to facilitate case resolution.
  • Prepare and present cases at administrative hearings and trials.
  • Stay updated on changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • 2-5 years of experience in workers' compensation law.
  • Strong understanding of workers' compensation processes and legal requirements.
  • Experience in managing workers' compensation cases from inception through resolution.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and client service abilities.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Florida State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in handling workers' compensation cases and legal procedures.
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent legal research and writing capabilities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
