Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Corporate Associate to join their Mergers & Acquisitions team in Richmond, Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to engage in diverse capital transactions with private equity firms and other private entities both nationally and internationally.

Duties

• Collaborate with clients and colleagues on a wide range of corporate transactions.
• Engage in direct client contact and assume responsibility for negotiations.
• Participate in national and international M&A transactions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of transactional experience, focusing on M&A and general corporate work.
• Experience working with privately held companies.
• Strong analytical skills and a positive attitude.
• Finance and private equity experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication abilities and a collaborative mindset.
• Admission to practice in Virginia.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Virginia.
